RARE Collective is Artist Sharon McDonagh's rebellion in motion, a creative force rewriting the rules of events, art and community culture in York and beyond.

 

Born from grit, graft and a refusal to shrink, Sharon brings her experience as a planner, curator, artist and disruptor into every project.  Known for transforming empty spaces into cultural heartbeat moments that give real visibility to local causes, Sharon has been the graft behind three groundbreaking charity street art events in a big disused office block in the centre of York.  She has worked with internationally renowned artists as well as local artists to raise funds for York Mind and SASH (Safe and Sound Homes).

 

RARE is Sharon's latest venture, along with artist and DJ  Sola, their mission to champion the overlooked; the creatives, the independents and the underdogs.

 

Turning creativity into impact to ensure the communities that need it most feel the results.  Every project will be built with an edge, a purpose and a rebellious heartbeat that invites people in and lifts them up!
