ACOMB FEST 2026 organised by ART OF PROTEST was the first community festival, transforming Acomb, York into a massive open air gallery and creative playground. (3rd to 5th July 2026) Fifteen venues across Acomb, centering on Front Street where ​4 large scale community murals were created by world renowned artists CURTIS HYLTON, PEACHZZ, SLEDONE and SMUGONE.

RARE Collective curated the live PAINT JAM in the grounds of the CARLTON TAVERN where 9 artists created large murals on boards, with DJ sets, audio visual production, an art shop, an outdoor cocktail bar with mixology by Tulum Spirits Collective plus street food by El Chappo.  RARE also curated an art exhibition featuring work by artists across the UK at CROOKED TAP.  All in support of SASH (Safe and Sound Homes)​
